How does a global innovator trial a new technology prior to general release?
We launched Google’s artistic VR tool ‘Tilt Brush’ at Semi Permanent Sydney by challenging fine-artist James Jean, Australian Ballet soloist Sharni Spencer, leading architect Kelvin Ho and renowned typographer Luke Lucas to take part in a world-first collaboration using Google’s VR Tilt Brush technology.
We explored every angle and opportunity that working in an entirely immersive medium presents for designers, documenting the collaboration process, before culminating in a large-scale live art performance and panel discussion at Semi Permanent Sydney.

All ticket holders (3,500+) were sent a Google Cardboard headset together with their event ticket, encouraging our audience to experience the creation for themselves.
