Formist Editions' inventive approach to book creation is singular in Australian publishing. Formist Editions works closely with artists, writers and curators to capture the feeling, concept and sensibility of a body of work through the pages of a book. They strive to produce carefully edited publications that are designed and produced to the highest possible standards, and while our design will always be in service of the content, it is also challenging and progressive. Formist Editions founder and director, Mark Gowing, has 30 years experience as an industry leader in cultural design, and alongside working as a publisher, runs a type foundry and design studio.
