Haydenshapes, Daniel Arsham, Chris Stamp 'Wave Relic' Sydney pop-up
Experience a new collaboration between three influential global designers.
Acclaimed New York City-based Daniel Arsham Studio, Australian surfboard company Haydenshapes and Californian contemporary menswear brand Stampd have introduced ‘Wave Relic', a collaborative product release that includes three uniquely designed surfboards and a limited edition clothing capsule.
Informed by both a mutual curiosity for the ocean and technical craftsmanship, 'Wave Relic' represents three alternating design disciplines across art, surf and apparel. Each board represents a differing stage of the concept and production process; including a fully functional 'Eroded' and ‘Sketch Erosion’ board, as well as a solid, clear-resin surfboard sculpture by artist Daniel Arsham and Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox. The collection is rounded out by a limited edition capsule collection by LA-based apparel designer Chris Stamp of Stampd, distributed through selected retailers around the globe.
The 'Eroded' board sold out within seven minutes of launching globally, with a limited number held for purchase at the physical pop-up in Bondi.
‘Wave Relic’ pop up experience
To further explore the materials, process and design components of the 'Wave Relic' collection, Haydenshapes and Semi Permanent have co-designed a limited pop-up experience launching in Bondi, Sydney this 8-9 May, 2021.
Featuring all three limited edition boards as well as archival prototypes and process-editions, the pop-up experience explores the technical and material innovations developed specifically for the collection. Viewers can also shop the capsule clothing range, order the limited edition Sketch Erosion board and participate in fin-casting sessions with Hayden Cox.
