Talented musician, Dan Stricker, presented at the Sydney Semi Permanent Creativity and Design Festival in 2018, where the theme was "Creative Tension as Inspiration".
As a co-founding member of Siberia Records and Drummer in Australian band Midnight Juggernauts, Daniel has been involved in the worldwide music industry over the past 12 years. He has won 2 AIR awards, 1 DMA award, been nominated for 3 ARIA awards. He has toured the world many times selling out shows across the USA, UK, Europe + Australasia, having played all the major festivals such as Coachella, Fuji Rock, Primavera, Splendour in the Grass, Big Day Out, Route Du Rock, etc.
2010 saw the beginning of Daniel's Siberia Records; a model to put his music and music industry knowledge into helping fellow musicians with production work, promotion, pressing records and utilising international networks. Siberia releases all music by Kirin J Callinan (whom Daniel managed for 5 years). Daniel got Kirin signed to XL Recordings (Radiohead, Adele, MIA), the 2nd Australian ever to be signed to the prestigious label. Siberia put out Alex Cameron's debut album "Jumping the Shark" and introduced him to label "Secretly Canadian" whom he signed with, propelling his career into a large international following. It has also released first records by Jonti, NULL, FORCES, HVISKE, Cassius Select etc. Siberia has put on events in Tokyo, Shanghai, London, New York and Paris.
Siberia Records and the Midnight Juggernauts have had relationships with EMI, Virgin, Astralwerks, Capitol France, ADA, Red Eye US, Acephale Records, Terrible Records, XL recordings and many others – all while keeping an independent model worldwide.
Over the last few years Daniel started recording and producing other people's music as part of Siberia Records, leading to Siberia Studio's and production team MIND GAMERS (Sebastien Tellier, John Kirby, Daniel Stricker) alongside solo production work inc.: Recorded all drums and key musical collaborator on Kirin J Callinan's Embracism album, Recorded drums and co-production on Chris Taylor's (Grizzly Bear) 'CANT' project, writing and producing alongside Solange, Composing and writing with Kelsey Lu (album coming on Columbia), Producing Dita Von Teese's debut album (coming Feb 2018 - Dita has approx 2million Instagram followers), played drums and toured with Weyes Blood, Produced music for Nicolas Godin (AIR) for Ballet Preljocaj 2016 show, Recorded with Karl Lagerfeld in late 2016 for MIND GAMERS first release, mixed with Eric Chedeville (Mix engineer for Daft Punk and composer of hit song "The Weekend - I Feel it Coming").
In 2017 Daniel produced and scored the critically acclaimed VR experience VIA ALICE, a 22 minute VR + live performance alongside Pete Keen, John Kirby, Le1f, Waangenga Blanco (Bangarra).
